
Cheadle Hulme based Abney Garsden McDonald solicitors have been selected as finalists in four categories in this year’s Law Society Excellence Awards. The awards, hosted by the Law Society of England and Wales, are in their fifth year and provide a unique opportunity to highlight and celebrate the excellence of individuals and organisations within the legal profession.
Peter Garsden, Sole Principal of Abney Garsden McDonald, has been nominated in the Solicitor of the Year award. He has devoted the last 17 years of his professional life to supporting the victims of child abuse and has been Lead Solicitor in over 25 different Group Actions involving over 1000 Claimants.
Other categories that the firm has been nominated for include Excellence in Innovation, Excellence in Client Service and the Legal Sector Alliance Award for Excellence in Environmental Responsibility.

Earlier in the year the firm won Small Firm of the Year at the Manchester Legal Awards.
The winners will be announced at an exclusive awards ceremony to be held on the 18th October at Old Billingsgate in London.
