Deborah Corcoran is a member of the association of child abuse lawyers, the association of personal injury lawyers, and has specialised in abuse work since 1999. She has acted as lead solicitor in a number of successful high profile group action cases and represented hundreds of clients, both adults and children.
Notable cases include;
Successfully representing the mother of a child who committed suicide in care.
Securing a record Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) settlement for Quality Solicitors Abney Garsden of £500,000. This was on behalf of a female client who suffered abuse at the hands of her father. This is the largest award the firm has achieved for a client under the scheme, which is capped at £500,000.
Red Bank group action – Deborah obtained the first Group Litigation Order in the country.
