Child abuse lawyer Peter Garsden is to speak at the forthcoming Enough Abuse conference on the Goddard Inquiry and Mandatory Reporting. The event, ‘Breaking the Cycle … changing Lives’, being held on Friday 29th April at the Greater Manchester Police Training Centre in Manchester aims to listen and discuss the challenges facing the prevention of child sexual abuse. Other speakers include Leon Edwards, the CEO of Push Forward, Deanna Nielsen, Head of Safeguarding at Action for Children and Brian Mynot, a mental health counsellor specialising in childhood abuse.
Marilyn Hawes, the CEO of Enough Abuse UK who look to reduce the incidence of child sexual abuse through its training and consultancy activities, will host the event. One of the topics Marilyn will address is how to identify grooming.
