Investors in People (IIP) is a voluntary assessment scheme backed by the UK Department for Education and Skills. IIP was developed in 1993 through a partnership of businesses and other national organisations. The scheme aims to improve organisational performance through better planning, implementation and evaluation of learning and development programmes, across organisations of all sizes and sectors. Organisations who receive the award are subject to reviews, normally every 3 years to check that they are still meeting the required standard.
After first being awarded with the Investors in People accreditation in 2001, our firm passed its recent assessment with flying colours. Below is an extract from the report:
“Abney Garsden McDonald are open, friendly and a happy organisation. The staff have a very positive attitude. Supportive management with an open door policy. The managers are respected and exhibit the leadership skills and manage their teams effectively.” Click here to read about the presentation of the award by Mark Hunter, MP for Cheadle.
